Thieves in the Night— 2020, silkscreen on paper, 8.5 x 11 inches

As an artist, I am constantly seeking the balance between restriction and transcendence of the world around me. Not to much unlike self-quarantining and as a Black male my experience with racism. I alone have very little control in dictating these things; however, the social upheaval has given my work a sense of power that is otherwise unfulfilled. My work is amplified by the voices that scream against the American justice system and belong in the hands of those who march in spite of the restrictions of self-quarantining. Emerging from isolation doesn't change my art. It'll merely gives me a chance to complete my role as an artist for these times.
