Strawberry plants and I (Black), 2020 from The Kinship Series was completed during the Covid-19 quarantine. While in isolation, the connection and longing for nature and to the plants we are nourished by, was felt highly essential to our livelihood within the NYC Metropolis. This work also explores the restoration of our deep and primal connection to plants, as living organisms, through our ancestral knowledge.
