Warped Weaving Song, 2020 was completed in late March to late - June, throughout the Covid-19 shelter in place mandate. The metaphoric allusions to silence and song, weaving and bending, light and shadow hold special meaning for me during this time away from close artist friends. Some of this work is to be exchanged and changed by the receiver through mail art initiatives, a way to connect through touch but not through direct physical contact. It is the only way now we can speak to one another without words.
