NOTE: We’ve closed the darkroom as we prepare for the construction of our new facility. The new building will include a better and bigger darkroom. In the meantime, we have been holding regular photography critiques and will organize exhibitions within the next year.

The ABC No Rio Photography Collective is an all-volunteer team of photographers who believe in providing open, accessible and affordable resources to other artists, regardless of experience. Our darkroom reflects a skill-sharing model in which those with varying experience with photography can both utilize our darkroom facilities and share knowledge with one another.

As it did before, our darkroom will have black-and-white enlarger workstations, a film processing room, a wet room for printing, and a light room for examining negatives and finished prints. Our new computer lab will also have scanners and software to digitize your negatives! As always, it will be bring your own paper with chemistry provided.

For those with some familiarity with darkroom technique but needing a refresher, darkroom volunteers can provide mentoring.
