If you’ve read about us in the news lately, or if you’ve walked by 156 Rivington you’ll know that we are coming back!
As before, our new home will serve artists, musicians and performers at all stages of their careers; students, activists and the community through our darkroom, silkscreen printshop, computer lab and zine library, as well as a kitchen/conference room and other spaces for activist groups and mutual-aid organizations. Now more than ever, such spaces are crucial as we work to strengthen our communities.
Keep up to date with the progress of our building here.
Thanks to the numerous grants, city funding, the very generous support of you, our community, we have been able to cover a significant portion of the costs. However, we still need to raise around $2,000,000 to ensure the building’s completion. The money we still need to raise is for the following:
$1,500,000 – ABC No Rio’s construction costs to complete the building
$400,000 – remaining special inspection fees and architecture fees
$100,000 – fixtures, furnishings and equipment for the new building
This is why we are again asking our community, you, for help to realize this goal.
