We are ecstatic to announce that on September 27th, we’ll be hosting our first-ever zine fair! Organized by the ABC No Rio Zine Library collective, we have worked hard to put together a community event that not only celebrates zines and zine culture but one that brings together collaborators and friends from the DIY and mutual aid community in a celebratory spirit of mutual support. 

We are excited and grateful to be hosting it at the wonderful Mayday Space (176 St Nicholas Ave, Brooklyn, NY 11237).

Over 25 zine creators and collectives are tabling with their zines about music, culture, activism, mutual aid, history, comics and more. The zine fair will run from 12-5pm and a special hardcore show will run from 6-10pm. See below of list of the collectives and creators who will be tabling.

On top of that we’ll have:
– Workshops and discussions
– A screen printing station where you can bring your own shirts/patches/posters to print
–  Food Not Bombs will be serving free vegan food and Cafe Anarquista will be serving free coffee!

– A self-defense class organized by Simi and Grey from Popgym
– Mike Merlino and Kate Devereaux will be offering flash tattoos
– John Vasquez Mejias will be exhibiting a puppet performance of his Puerto Rican War
…AND to cap it all off the @abcnoriopunkhc are putting on a show at night with @fulanonyc, Pure Terror, Person/A, Jolana Star and DJ Libby Flow.

Join us for a fun, jam-packed day of zines, DIY culture, mutual aid, tattoos, puppets, hardcore, free food, good vibes, new friendships, old friendships…the list goes on!
