Opening this Friday, 6pm, at Bullet Space, the ABC No Rio Visual Arts Collective presents their latest exhibition: Genocide.

Witnessing the first “live-streamed” genocide in human history and its accompanying political theatrics, it is impossible not to be overwhelmed by outrage. Artists around the world have joined the protests in the streets, creating works that are simultaneously defiant and beautiful.

This exhibition takes this into the more contemplative space of the gallery. In addition to expressing anger and disgust at the current situation in Palestine, the artists here are grappling with the larger history of genocide. The works in the show explore the topic in varied ways – explicitly political agitprop, thematic abstraction, ironic conceptuality, and emotionally charged expressionism.

Opening reception: Friday, Oct. 3:  6-8 PM
