A black and white image of a detailed drawing of a lower intestine overlayed on top of a map of lower Manhattan. The details for the art exhibition are in white in the black borders of the image.

Announcing our next (and last!) in exile art exhibition.

Introducing, Lower Intestine:

The city can be conceived of as a labyrinth – an elaborate system of caves – the belly of the beast. The label “emerging artists” suggests discovery – coming up from the underground into the harsh sun of recognition. But what of the interior and mucking around in it? The dark and damp and warmth, the tunnels, the standing water, the bile, the circuitry, the coils of innards doubling back? And while we’re at it, what about all the things you know are true but can’t explain? 13 subterranean artists examine the guts and hidden mechanisms churning beneath the surface world.
