Join us at Brooklyn Law School for a conversation with the Art Law Association (ALA) and Harvey Epstein on November 19th at 6pm.
The discussion will span our beginnings as an “extra-legal” experiment in reclaiming unused urban space, and how we grew to be a resilient fixture in the downtown arts, punk music, and and activist scenes.
The panel will feature Gavin Marcus (our executive director), Victoria Law (writer and photographer, ABC No Rio Darkroom collective), and Harvey Epstein (currently Assembly Member District 74, soon City Council District 2), moderated by Prof. Michael Haber (Community Development and Movement Infrastructure Clinic). We will discuss the role of arts and culture, the politics of urban space, the existential threats facing arts organizations, and more.
Brooklyn Law School, 250 Joralemon, RSVP in the ALA bio.
